Buying or Selling Property?
Foster Legal Lawyers can help the transition run smoothly

Conveyancing Services – Buying and Selling Property

Buying or selling property can be one of the most stressful events in your life. Foster Legal takes care of the conveyancing process from start to finish – from drafting your Vendors Statement for the sale of your property or reviewing a Vendors Statement before you buy, through to coordinating your bank’s involvement and arranging settlement – I’m there every step of the way.

Selling

If you are selling your property, please fill out the Sale of Property Instruction Form and return it along with any required supporting documents, preferably by email. Once I receive the form, I will contact you to discuss your sale and what further information (if any) I require. At this point I can also advise you of the costs involved.

A Vendors Statement tells an intending purchaser all relevant information about the property. It is important that this document is drafted correctly as misinformation or omissions can have adverse consequences after you and the purchaser have signed the contract.

Buying

If you are buying a property, it is a good idea to have the Contract and Vendors Statement reviewed before you sign so that any issues can be identified before you are locked in to the Contract. If you have already signed a Contract to purchase a property, don’t worry, you usually have 3 days from the date you signed the Contract to exit the Contract without penalty if any issues are identified. And if you are past this deadline, I can still assist with making your purchase as smooth as possible.

Please fill out the Purchase of Property Instruction Form and return it to myself along with the relevant Contract and/or Vendors Statement, preferably by email. I will look over the documents and contact you to provide further advice. At this point I can also advise you of the costs involved in acting on your behalf in your purchase.
